Jennifer Lopez Reveals Her 10-Year-Old Twins Max and Emme Help Her ‘Get More Balance’ in Life

Her love don’t cost a thing, but for Jennifer Lopez, the love she receives from her kids is worth everything. The Second Act star recently opened up about how her 10-year-old twins, Max and Emme, keep her afloat on days when everything seems to fall apart.

On days when she’s also trying to excel at her job and maintain her “happy, healthy and loving” relationship with boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, the 49-year-old revealed during an interview with host Mark Wright on the UK morning show Lorraine that Max and Emme have helped her “get more of balance in life.” Aww!

Jen even admitted that her kiddos will always take precedence over everything else in her busy life. “When it comes to managing my time, I make sure they always feel like they are my priority because they are,” she said. And even though she only has two kids — who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony — of her own, Jen also plays pseudo-stepmom to Alex’s two daughters, 14-year-old Ella and 10-year-old Natasha.

Jen also said she knows the importance of raising her children out of the spotlight, however, she “wouldn’t see it as a weird thing” if Emme or Max followed in her famous footsteps. “They have seen me manage it in a normal way. We’re a normal family and while we are an entertainment family, we still have routine, boundaries and rules like every kid has — but most importantly love,” Jennifer shared.

Being a mom and working at the pace Jen does isn’t always easy, though. The “Jenny From The Block” singer acknowledged that being famous is not all that it’s cracked up to be, especially when people constantly feel the need to judge you.

“You’re trying to do your best and people are putting you down or trying to make believe you’re not a nice person, or you’re a diva,” Jen confessed to Harper’s Bazaar in another recent interview. “I’m always like, ‘Who are you talking about?’”

You would think that being in showbiz for more than three decades would make you numb to the pressure, but Jen said she still has yet to get used to it. “It’s hard when people are always telling you that you’re not good at things or saying, ‘Why is she successful?’ You get a lot of that when you’re a successful woman.”

Even on her more stressful days, Jen knows she can always count on Max and Emme to cheer her up. “They know what I do and they know people know who I am. They know mommy is in movies, concerts, TV, produces and works a lot. They are used to it, it’s normal,” she told Mark during their sit-down.
