Jenny McCarthy Announces Engagement to Donnie Wahlberg on ‘The View’ - Closer Weekly

While co-hosting The View on Wednesday, Jenny McCarthy had a special announcement – she’s engaged to Donnie Wahlberg!

The 41-year-old author showed off her diamond ring and explained how the sweet proposal happened with the help of her 11-year-old son Evan.

“This weekend I was sitting with Donnie…and he went into the other room and out came Evan with a card that said ‘Will’ and he handed it to me,” she explains.

“Then Evan ran away and Evan came in with a card that said ‘You’…I just started crying and then Evan came back into the room with the word ‘Marry’ – but spelled wrong. The last time, Donnie came out with Evan and Donnie’s shirt said ‘Me’…and he got down on his knee.”

Jenny and Donnie, 44, began dating last summer. This will be the second marriage for both of them. The Blue Bloods actor was married to Kim Fey until 2008 and McCarthy was married to director John Asher, whom she had Evan with and divorced in 2005.

McCarthy now feels "like the luckiest girl in the world." According to ABC News, she said, "He's so wonderful."
