Joanna Gaines Celebrates 16-Year Wedding Anniversary With Husband Chip: ‘It Feels Like We’re Just Getting Started’
What a journey! Joanna Gaines is reminding everyone just how much love there still is between her and her husband, Chip.
The 41-year-old took to Instagram on Friday, May 31, to share a lovely pic of her and Chip, 44, smiling in honor of their anniversary. “16 years and it feels like we’re just getting started … I love you Chip Carter Gaines #16.” Check out the full post below!
The TV couple got nothing but love in the comments section from fans. “I love you both! You are both an inspiration in my life,” one person said. Another added, “Y’all are so cute!”
The pair have been married since 2003. They share five kids — daughters Ella Rose, 13, and Emmie Kay, 9, and sons Drake, 14, Duke, 13, and baby Crew, 11 months. And while they have been together for quite some time now and have a large family, the famous duo know that nothing will put an end to their love for one another.
“Multitasking comes naturally to them, and they’ve mastered how to balance family life with keeping their marriage alive,” an insider exclusively told Closer Weekly. “When the kids are in bed, Chip and Joanna enjoy date nights. Joanna loves to cook, and they’ll joke around in the kitchen together while she whips up Chip’s favorite dishes,” the source continued.
They don’t get to go out on dates as often as they used to before they became parents, but “that doesn’t stop them from having a good time!” the insider added.
Joanna and Chip, who recently wrapped up their HGTV show Fixer Upper and will soon launch their own TV network, have always been very open about their healthy relationship. The designer once shared where she and her love jetted off to after their wedding. “New York City,” she said in her Magnolia Journal mag.
“We explored together and let the city’s constant creative energy guide us. There was a time when our big kids were babies and our businesses were just getting off the ground that it was hard to get back for a visit,” she added.
