Lori Loughlin Gushes ‘Full House’ Co-Star John Stamos Will Be a “Great Dad”

She should know, she did have twins with him on Full House! Lori Loughlin gushed in a new interview that she thinks her former co-star John Stamos will be a “great dad” to his baby on the way with wife Caitlin McHugh.

“I don’t think John needs any parental advice,” Lori, 53, told E! News. “I think John is going to be a great dad, but of course, he knows I’m here for him should he need any [advice] but I think him and Caitlin have it covered.”

John previously announced last year that he and Caitlin are expecting their first child together. The two then married in a surprise ceremony on Feb. 3.

In a recent interview, John gushed about being a dad. “I’ll be a fun dad. I’ve been practicing for a long time,” he shared. “I’ve done every schtick you can do with a baby on TV… all the bits and jokes and diaper gags. I’ll probably just do all that stuff.”

And Lori agrees! She also adores how great he’s always been to her teenage daughters, Isabella, 19, and Olivia, 18. “I will say this. He is very complimentary to me about my own girls. I have two girls who are 18 and 19 and he just adores them. We were talking a couple of weeks ago and he said to me, ‘You and [your husband Mossimo Giannulli] should write a book on how to parent kids because your girls are so great,’ which is such a high compliment. We shouldn’t write a book but it was so sweet of him to say that.”

John has always wanted to be a father, and we’re so glad his wish is finally coming true! He revealed in November, “I hope (to have kids). That’s always been my plan. It’s just taken me a lot longer than I anticipated. It would be a tragedy if I didn’t have children and I finally found the right woman — the perfect woman.” Well he found just that — and we can’t wait to meet his baby in a few months!
