John Stamos Opens Up About His Romance With Amy Poehler - Closer Weekly

In October, Amy Poehler revealed she once went out to dinner with John Stamos, but claimed she “kinda blew it” because she didn’t know if it was really a date.

And now, John is setting the record straight!

“I asked her out on a date… and we had a really nice time,” the former ‘Full House’ star, 51, said in a new interview with ‘Extra.’ “Then I hear she thought it wasn’t a date. It was a date in my eyes.”

The star sweetly added he and Amy, 43, remain “really good friends.”

The mom-of-two previously recounted her night out with John during a radio interview with Howard Stern: “I was at a restaurant. We were having dinner and I was like, ‘Oh, maybe this is a date!’ But I didn’t know… I kinda blew it.”

The pair met while filming the comedy, ‘They Came Together,’ in 2013, Amy explained.

The ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress separated from funnyman Will Arnett in 2012 and is now dating comedian Nick Kroll. John has been single since he divorced model Rebecca Romijn in 2005.
