Jon Voight Hopes Angelina Jolie Will 'Consider' Casting Him for Her Next Film - Closer Weekly

There’s only one director who Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight would love to work with — his daughter, Angelina Jolie!

“Maybe if I drop the hint loudly enough, she’ll say, ‘Oh, I’ll consider Jon Voight for one of my films,'” Jon says in the new issue of ‘Closer Weekly,’ on newsstands now.

Despite their rocky relationship, Jon insists he is Angelina’s biggest cheerleader — he was stunned that she was snubbed by this year’s Oscar nominations.

“Watching her film [Unbroken], I was overwhelmed by her God-given gift as a director,” the 76-year-old confides to ‘Closer.’ “I think that she certainly deserved to be one of the group [nominated for a Best Director Academy Award].”
