Jon Voight Says Daughter Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 6 Kids Are Doing ‘Great’

It certainly seems like Jon Voight is loving his role of grandfather. Recently, the actor was able to give an update on his daughter Angeline Jolie‘s six kids, who she shares with her ex Brad Pitt, and it sounds like all is well.

“The kids are great. They’re growing up,” the 80-year-old told Us Weekly at the International Champions of Jewish Values Gala on Thursday, March 28. “They’re doing very well.” He continued, “It’s just amazing to have kids and watch them grow. You realize the preciousness of time and how short our lives are really. Kids don’t know that. When they’re young, they think life is endless and they’re always anxious to get to the next age.”

This isn’t the first time that the Oscar-winner has commented on his grandkids or his daughter, 43, as he recently mentioned just how fantastic Angelina is with her children. “Well, she’s a good mom I’ll tell you that,” he exclusively told Closer Weekly at the Movieguide Awards at Universal Hilton Hollywood on February 8. “She is very loving to the kids and very much there with them, always there with them although she has a busy life. She doesn’t miss any opportunity to inquire into their lives and help them every step of the way. So I’m very proud of her.”

Jon continued and once again explained how precious life truly is. “Give yourself a good healthy break and enjoy this life while you have it and use it to help other people,” he said. “Do everything you can to help your parents and help other people in your neighborhood and your vicinity and go through life as a person who cares about others. That is what we are here for … You will find that all the people who have that attitude are happy people.”

The actress and the World War Z star, 55, share Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10. They have had their ups and downs since parting ways in 2016, but they did finally reach a custody agreement late last year after a two-year battle.

“A custody arrangement was agreed two weeks ago, and has been signed by both parties and the judge,” Angelina’s attorney Samantha Bley DeJean shared on November 30. “The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial. The filing and details of the agreement are confidential to protect the best interests of the children.”
