‘Property Brothers’ Star Jonathan Scott Isn’t Rushing to Get Married: “Not Right Now”

One brother at a time! Even though Drew Scott is set to wed his fiancée, Linda Phan, this May, his twin brother, Jonathan Scott, is in no rush to get married himself! The Property Brothers star has been dating his stunning girlfriend, Jacinta Kuznetsov, since 2015.

“Not right now,” Jonathan told Us Weekly when asked if he has any plans to tie the knot. “My girlfriend and I have been dating for two years and just having a blast. It’s been great.”

In a previous exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, Jonathan really assured us that a double engagement isn’t on the horizon. “We’re not going to take the thunder away from Drew and Linda by any means, but we’re absolutely enjoying everything,” he adorably shared at the time.

But that doesn’t mean he’s not excited for his brother’s wedding, which will be the same month as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s! “The royal family asked us if we could just combine [the two weddings] to save money,” the HGTV star joked to Us. “We’re actually going to do a double-date wedding.” He also told Closer that he’s going to give his Best Man speech on the fly! “I’m more of a talk from the heart kind of guy,” Jonathan added.

Perhaps Jonathan is reluctant to get married because he was before, and it ended in a divorce. He only recently revealed he wed a woman named Kelsey in 2007. After moving from Canada to Las Vegas to be with her, they split after two years. “There was sort of a rush going into it,” Jonathan previously told People. “She wanted to get married on 07/07/07… so it wasn’t something that naturally happened.” He added, “You know, we didn’t have kids or anything. It really helped me understand what I wanted in a relationship.”

But that doesn’t mean Jonathan doesn’t want kids one day! “Of all the success and everything we’ve achieved, I think I’ll be a great dad,” Jonathan once said. “That’s going to be exciting.”
