REPORTJulia Roberts’ Mother Betty Lou Motes Has Died at Age 80
Julia Roberts is sadly mourning the loss of her mother, Betty Lou Motes, after she passed away in the early hours of this morning, Feb. 19, after a battling lung cancer.
According to ‘In Touch Weekly,’ the 47-year-old actress’ mother was at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif. at the time of her passing. She was 80-years-old.

The news of Betty’s death comes just a few days after the one year anniversary of the death of Betty’s daughter and Julia’s half-sister Nancy Motes. Nancy passed away from suicide on Feb. 9, 2014 at age 37.

Following Nancy’s death, Betty was said to be living with the ‘Erin Brockovich’ star, her husband, Danny Moder, and the couple’s three children in their LA home.
