Julianne Hough And Brooks Laich’s Family Has ‘Grown By 1’ After Adopting Adorable Husky — See The Videos!
It looks like Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich are the newest proud parents on the block… to a dog, at least! The former Dancing With The Stars professional and her NHL star hubby just welcomed a beautiful male Husky into their family through adoption — and the pup couldn’t be any cuter.
“This guy was at a shelter and needs a home. What do you think, think we should adopt him?!?” Brooks wrote in the caption of a video he posted on Nov. 26 of the dog completely snuggled on top of Julianne. See the heartwarming video below!
Many friends and fans rallied to convince Brooks and Jules to keep the adorable husky — although, by the looks of it, they didn’t need much persuading. Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson East commented, “KEEP HIM!” Former professional athlete Lewis Howes also wrote, “Take him in!!!” to which Brooks replied, “You know it!!!”
Jules, 30, and Brooks, 35, aren’t the only ones whose hearts were filled by welcoming a furry friend into their home. In fact, the Canada native revealed in the comment section of his post that their pup is the brother of actress Nina Dobrev‘s newly-adopted Husky. On his post, The Vampire Diaries star commented four red heart emojis. Brooks then replied to Nina by saying, “Yup, gonna be lots of play dates!!!” Too cute!
After asking for opinions and receiving over 2,500 comments, Julianne and Brooks announced that they had officially adopted the loving dog. “The Laich family has grown by one as we have officially adopted this guy!” Brooks wrote in the caption of a second post. “Since we got him from a shelter, he doesn’t have a name, so we get to give him one! What do you think we should name him?!?”
After Brooks asked for name suggestions, fans offered all sorts of ideas. From Caesar, to Rogue, to Gaston, and Zeus, it looks the couple won’t have much trouble finding a name. While many stood out, one of the most suggested names had to be Blue. “Blue, short for Blue eyes… c’mon Blue let’s go for a run… or Blue Steel… those eyes though!” one user commented.
Whatever Jules and Brooks end up naming the handsome boy, we look forward to all the videos and pictures that the couple will share!
