Kate Hudson’s Brother Wyatt Russell Proposes To Girlfriend: ‘I Would Give The Proposal 5 Stars On Yelp’
Wyatt Russell and Meredith Hagner will soon be saying their “I dos.”
It’s been a big year in the Hudson clan, as just two months after Kate Hudson gave birth to her daughter, Rani Rose, her brother Wyatt, 32, decided to propose to his girlfriend of three years while vacationing for the holidays in Snowmass, Colorado. Meredith, 31, took it to Instagram recently to show off a slideshow of photos, including one showcasing quite the diamond engagement ring.
“The love of my dang life proposed to me,” the actress wrote in the caption. “He is the best guy in the world. It was an epic surprise surrounded by our closest family and I would give the proposal 5 stars on yelp!!!!!”
This will be Wyatt’s second marriage, as he and stylist Sanne Hamer married in 2014, before divorcing in 2017. As for Wyatt and his current fiancée, the couple met on the set of the 2016 indie film Folk Hero & Funny Guy, and that’s quite the coincidence, as Wyatt’s parents, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, began their relationship soon after meeting on the set of Swing Shift in 1983. So it seems like movie sets is the new place to meet your soulmate.
Kurt once spoke about what it was like taking Goldie on their first date to the Playboy Club in LA.
“Two hours later, we were still talking — we hadn’t danced at all,” Kurt said during an appearance on Live! With Kelly and Ryan. “I was living at my brother-in-law’s house, and she had this home that was being remodeled, so we went there.” Suddenly, “there were flashlights around the room,” Kurt added, explaining security guards mistook the pair for intruders. “We were like, ‘Guys, get out of here — it’s her house!’ It was a lot of fun, I’ll tell you that. I just can’t believe it was that long ago.”
While Goldie and Kurt have never gotten married, Wyatt and Meredith eventually will. So the only question is will it be a secret wedding?
