Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle Are Reportedly ‘Not The Best Of Friends’ But Got Along Last Christmas

Well so much for exchanging friendship bracelets.

Reports continue to pour in that suggest that perhaps all is not well between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, with the latest report revealing that Meghan and Kate aren’t exactly holding hands and skipping through London. A source is now telling PEOPLE that even though Meghan and Kate aren’t braiding each other’s hair, Christmas last year went on without any issues. “They really loved Christmas and all had a wonderful time,” the source says, adding, “I think the two women got on — they are definitely not best friends, but it was a really special time for them all to spend together.”

That is pretty much how anyone would describe their holidays spent with their family: not the best of friends, but we got along. This report of course comes after a source revealed that Harry and William apparently “fell out” when William didn’t go all out to welcome Meghan into the royal family. But all was well when Prince Charles came in and calmed the situation down. But things may head into smoother territory now that it has been reported that Harry and Meghan have decided to pack up and give themselves a bit of distance from William and Kate. That’s right, Harry and Meghan will make their way into the 10-bedroom Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate.

Here’s what an official spokesperson recently told PEOPLE: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will move to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate early next year as they prepare for the arrival of their first child. The couple have lived at Nottingham Cottage since their engagement last year. Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate. The Duke and Duchess’s official office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace.”

Here’s hoping that Kate and Meghan get along this Christmas because how is the Queen supposed to enjoy A Christmas Story all day if people are arguing?
