Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle Are Very Different Characters Within Royal Family (Report)

Once Meghan Markle married Prince Harry and entered the royal family, we all expected for her addition to be quite the shakeup. And that’s because Meghan does things in her way, unlike Kate Middleton, who has no problem following protocol and royal tradition. So it is no surprise that Kate and Meghan have had quite the up and down relationship over the past year.

A family friend recently told People that Meghan and Kate are “very different characters.” And that is why there have been rumors of Meghan, 37, not exactly seeing eye-to-eye with not only Kate, 36, but with others at Kensington Palace. “Wives do change the dynamic, and [Harry and Prince William] both have very strong wives,” a palace insider told the outlet. “If you bring two independent-minded women from the real world into the royal world, they are going to want to have an impact.”

The insider added, “Some feathers need to be ruffled.” And ruffled they have been. In fact, Meghan’s alleged “diva behavior” has created chaos at the palace. Which is probably why Meghan and Harry will be moving out soon and heading to Frogmore Cottage. Another insider shared, “The most difficult job in the royal family is to work with Meghan’s ambitions and make them realizable.”

But while Meghan and Kate are two extremely different people, the palace insider agreed that they both have one thing in common: their strength. “An ordinary woman is not going to get to become a princess. There is a necessary strength of character and ambition and single-mindedness. It takes someone really strong. That is Kate and Meghan,” the source said. And Kate understands that well as we recently learned that the Duchess of Cambridge is striving to do all she can to prove she is worthy of being the future Queen of England, mainly by working with charities. 

“There are those who are satisfied to turn up to get headlines and raise money, and there are those who want to get stuck in and make a difference. That is very much [Kate].” a family friend recently said. “If you’re looking for the causes of poverty, poor mental health, poor housing, and poor social care, the politics also have to be dealt with. So there might be bumpy times ahead for her.” The friend added, “But she has given this everything she’s got and is determined to make it work. [Kate] would be the last person in the world to use the phrase Queen of Hearts but if the crown fits…”
