Kate Middleton stepped out with her new short locks during Wimbledon in London on Monday, July 3 — and we’re loving the Duchess of Cambridge’s updated look!

Kate, 35, paired her summer waves with a stylish white dress adorned with black polka dots. The haircut comes ahead of a busy summer for the princess, who has a royal tour to Germany and Poland planned with her family for mid-July.

In a previous interview, Kate revealed she was once banned from Wimbledon back in 2013 when Andy Murray took the men’s singles title for the first time.

“I was very heavily pregnant [with my son, Prince George]. I wrote to him afterward saying sorry for not being there,” she said of not attending.

Regardless of her absence four years ago, the tennis event still has a very special meaning to Kate and her family, which is why she’s attended every year since.

“Wimbledon […] was very much part of my growing up,” Kate added. ‘Roger [Federer] is my mother’s heartthrob. I don’t think she will mind me saying that! I think he probably knows that too.” Too funny!
