TV NewsKatherine Heigl to Star on New Show From ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Producers
Big things are happening for Katherine Heigl!
According to Variety, the 36-year-old actress has been cast in the upcoming CBS legal drama Doubt.
On the show — created by Grey’s Anatomy producers Tony Phelan and Joan Rater — Katherine will star as Sadie Ellis, a successful defense lawyer who gets romantically involved with one of her clients, who may be guilty of committing a brutal crime.

The series also features Orange is the New Black actress, Laverne Cox, 31, as a competitive transgender lawyer at Sadie’s firm.

This new drama is just the latest show to be added to Katherine’s acting credits. Last year, the proud mom — she has two daughters, Naleigh, 6, and Adalaide, 3, with her musician husband Josh Kelley, 35 — starred on the political thriller State of Affairs. She also appeared on the science-fiction show Roswell from 1999 until 2002 and Grey’s Anatomy from 2005 until 2010.
