Katie Holmes Has Gotten Close to Jamie Foxx’s Kids, but Jamie Hasn’t Spent a Lot of Time With Suri!

They’re definitely taking their relationship slow! Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been discreetly dating for almost five years now, and while Katie has gotten close to the musician’s daughters, Jamie hasn’t spent much time at all with 11-year-old Suri Cruise.

“They still have their own separate lives and they aren’t trying to join them together,” a source revealed to People. “They aren’t focused on what’s next or what the future holds. They are content simply knowing that they enjoy each other’s company and have a good time together. It isn’t about anything more than that.”

Katie, on the other hand, has been a steady presence in Jamie’s daughters’ lives. “Katie is close with Jamie’s girls,” a source said of the 50-year-old’s daughters, Corinne, 23, and Anelise, 9. “She spends time with them even when Jamie’s not there and they have dinner dates. Both girls get along really well with Katie. She’s been in Analise’s life since she was really young so they are especially tight.” How cute!

But it looks like the two aren’t ready to spend holidays together — or they’re simply content with their relationship as is! “Katie was with her family for Christmas and Jamie was with his,” another source said to People. “They were apart for New Year’s. It’s not the kind of relationship where they spend every holiday together. It seems to work for them though.” The two lovebirds have been quietly going steady for quite some time now, so it’s clearly working!

“They only spend time together at each other’s homes,” the source added, and don’t often go out for date night — which explains the lack of publicity surrounding their relationship! The two have only been spotted out together a handful of times, most recently at Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy Awards Gala on Saturday, Jan. 27 in NYC. Hopefully with time, the couple will step out together more often — and with their kids!
