Katie Holmes Shares Rare Portrait of Suri Cruise, 12, on Mother-Daughter Ski Trip — See the Pic!
Over the years, Katie Holmes has given us quick glimpses into her life as a mom-of-one and on Sunday, February 17, the Dawson’s Creek alum shared a rare black-and-white photo of her 12-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, as they spent some sweet quality time together up in the mountains.
“‘No need to hurry. No need to sparkle. No need to be anybody but oneself,'” the 40-year-old wrote in the caption as she quoted English writer Virginia Woolf. In the snap, Suri — who Katie shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise — can be seen with her back turned as she looks at the snow-covered mountains while standing beside a friend. Since Katie tries to keep Suri’s personal life as private as possible, fans get understandably excited when the Ray Donovan actress shares a pic of her adorable youngster on social media. “So happy for you guys, I think you’re doing a great job being a mom and a dad to your daughter, keep up the awesome work,” one fan wrote in the post’s comments section. “You are a wonderful woman and great mom, God bless,” said another.
It seems like the mother-daughter duo has been spending a good amount of time on vacation in the mountains lately considering they closed out 2018 with a day on the slopes. “Happy New Year!” Katie captioned a photo of herself, Suri and her daughter’s two friends posing with their skis as they made silly faces at the camera.
Though Suri and Katie seem to be having a great time on their latest trip, fans couldn’t help but wonder where the brunette beauty’s beau, Jamie Foxx, was. Since the two became an item, Katie has been trying her best to keep her romance out of the public eye since she began dating the actor, 51, nearly five years ago. However, the couple has recently been showing more PDA than ever, and a source even told People in December that their “relationship seems so much more serious this year.”
“Katie and Jamie keep having public dates, and although they try to not be photographed together, they are clearly not as concerned about keeping their relationship private,” the insider told the outlet. Considering Katie has been all-smiles recently, we imagine she is not only in a great place in her relationship with Jamie but in a great place with her daughter, Suri, as well.
