Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest Poke Fun at the Royal Wedding: “We’ll Never Be Royals”

The drama leading up to the royal wedding couldn’t be any more tense! After Meghan Markle‘s father, Thomas Markle, sadly suffered a heart attack and had to undergo surgery, Meghan has revealed that Prince Charles will be the one to escort her down the aisle to her future hubby, Prince Harry.

With tensions so high, it’s no wonder that TV duo Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest would poke fun at one of Meghan’s biggest life events. Taking to Instagram on Friday, May 18, the pair shared a photo of themselves wearing fascinators as they hold their pinkies to their mouths like they are about to drink tea. Kelly captioned the photo, “And we’ll never be royals… ” The post instantly garnered thousands of likes and fans couldn’t get enough of the hilarious Live With Kelly and Ryan co-hosts.

“Digging it!!!” one fan commented on the pic with another writing, “You both are looking good with your hats.” Ryan even threw subtle jabs at the hat that Meghan wore to her first royal Christmas service by copying the same color-scheme in his look. “Soooo fancy,” one more fan commented.

Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding is scheduled to start at 7 a.m. EST and 12 p.m. in London this Saturday. We, of course, loved watching Kate Middleton and Prince William tie the knot back in 2011 so we’re beyond excited for Harry and Meghan’s big day, too!
