Kelly Ripa Celebrates Son Michael’s 21st Birthday With Sweet Video Tribute — Watch!
She's such a good mom! Kelly Ripa's eldest son, Micheal Consuelos, celebrated his 21st birthday on Saturday, June 2, and his proud mama took to social media to give her boy the sweetest shout-out.
"21 years ago today the galaxy was shooketh! Happy birthday HE! We love you BIG ⭐️⭐️??????," she captioned a minute-long video featuring a series of throwback photos of Michael by himself, with his family, and more.
Kelly's husband, Mark Consuelos, followed up with another shout-out to their son. "'Go West Young Man…' Happy 21st birthday Michael. Our love for you is only matched by our pride… xoxo Dad," he wrote alongside a new and old photo of Michael.
We bet the Consuelos family had a fun celebration for Michael to ring in his milestone birthday, but last year Kelly caused controversy when she celebrated his 20th birthday at a winery when he wasn't legally able to drink. However, fans soon learned they were in Canada, where the legal drinking age is actually 19! "So 20 years ago, he, my son, my eldest came into my life and changed it for the better, for always," Kelly wrote on social media at the time. "And America — and Canada — have seen him grow up right before their very eyes on this show over the years and I just wanted to show him a really great time."
Kelly and Mark previously welcomed Michael in June 1997. They are also parents to two other children, daughter Lola, 16, and son Joaquin, 15. Kelly and Mark must be super cool parents because Michael didn't go too far away for college. The 21-year-old is currently going into his junior year at New York University. And luckily for his family, the school is only a few subway stops from his famous parents' townhouse on NYC's Upper East Side, so we're sure he saw his family on his birthday. Oh how fast they grow up!
