Kelly Ripa Jokes “Vacation With Your Kids Is A Trip, Not A Vacation” With Hilarious TBT Photo Of Her Family
Her kids are older now, but the stressful memories of going on vacation with three small children are still fresh for Kelly Ripa. On Thursday, Aug. 30, Kelly took to Instagram to post a hilarious throwback photo of herself posing with little versions of her kids Michael, now 21, Lola, now 17, and Joaquin, now 15, on a past family trip.
In the 2003 pic, Kelly and her tots are on a beautiful beach but instead of enjoying the view, the TV star appeared seriously stressed out while looking after her children. “A #TBT 2003 reminder: ‘A vacation with your kids is a trip, not a vacation,'” she captioned the funny pic, quoting her husband, Mark Consuelos.
Now that Kelly’s kids are older, it seems the busy mom-of-three enjoys family vacations much more than before. In June, Kelly visited Greece with Mark and their brood and shared a couple of trip snapshots online. “Something about these Grecian sunsets,” she wrote alongside a pic of herself and Mark. A month before, in May, she traveled to the Bahamas with her husband and shared a cute photo of them kissing under a tree. “Tree kissers. #CincoDeMayo #ItsBetterInTheBahamas,” Kelly captioned the sweet pic.
The longtime Hollywood couple recently celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary this past May and a source previously told Life & Style that Kelly and Mark have been taking many vacations together because they’re just so madly in love.
“They go on lots of dates, just the two of them, and occasionally sneak off to a hotel just to change up the scenario,” the insider revealed. “Kelly still wants Mark to feel he has a wife who cares about how he sees her. She wears something sexy to bed, even if all that’s going on that night is a little pillow talk before falling asleep.” Kelly and Mark haven’t announced where they will be traveling to next, but based on their past trips, it’s sure to be amazing!
