The 55-year-old actor recreated his famous dance sequence from the hit 1984 film Footloose during a guest appearance on the show in celebration of the movie's 30th anniversary…and it's awesome!
Bacon's sudden desire to dance was prompted by Fallon's announcement that The Tonight Show studios had outlawed the sport, a direct reference to one of the film's major plot points. "It's a bummer, but rules are rules," the comedian said.
But backstage, Bacon wasn't having it. "There has to be dancing," the star exclaimed, taking a puff from a cigarette and a swig from a beer bottle, echoing his character Ren McCormack's extracurricular activities. "Let's dance!" he shouted before launching into the epic dance number.
The clip immediately went viral and now has over 7 million views on YouTube. Justin Timberlake, a Jimmy Fallon favorite, was also a huge fan of Bacon's entrance, tweeting:
