Happy Birthday, Kirk Douglas! The Hollywood icon rang in his 102nd birthday surrounded by family and close friends at his Beverly Hills, CA home on Sunday, Dec. 9. In new pics of the actor, Kirk can be seen sitting in a wheelchair on his home’s front porch beside his beloved wife of 64 years, Anne Buydens, 99. In one of the photos, Kirk was even spotted touchingly holding Anne’s hand — so sweet!

In addition to his wife, Kirk was also joined by his son Michael Douglas, 74, for the celebration. In many of the snapshots, the Spartacus actor can be seen smiling as he and Anne got their picture taken in front of their home’s door, which was adorned with a pretty “102” sign made out of white roses.

On Kirk’s birthday, his daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones paid tribute to the Douglas family patriarch on social media. “Happy 102nd Birthday to the most beautiful man. We love you, Kirk,” she captioned a black and white photo montage of Kirk with his grandchildren on Instagram.

Just before he rang in his 100th birthday in 2016, Kirk exclusively spoke to Closer Weekly about his long and happy marriage to wife Anne. “I was lucky enough to find my soul mate 63 years ago, and I believe our wonderful marriage and our nightly ‘golden hour’ chats have helped me survive all things,” he said at the time.

During that same Closer interview, Kirk’s son Michael also spoke to his famous dad’s longevity. “I think his stamina and tenacity are the qualities that stand out for me. He has taught me always to give it your best shot at whatever you take on. He’s the full package,” Michael shared.

Kirk was last spotted out in public at Michael’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star ceremony in early November which he attended with his grandson Cameron Douglas and daughter-in-law Catherine.

In a recent interview with OK! magazine, Michael revealed his dad is “still very sharp” today. “He just discovered FaceTime on his phone. So now he calls me every night, which is a bit crazy!” Michael joked.

In another exclusive interview with Closer, Michael revealed his beloved dad, Kirk, taught him to “never give up” and gushed the actor is “doing great!” We can’t wait to ring in your 103rd birthday next year, Kirk!
