So SadLoretta Lynn Cancels Concerts Following Her Grandson’s Death

Loretta Lynn is sadly mourning the loss of her grandson.

The 84-year-old country star confirmed the news of her grandchild Jeffrey Allen Lynn's death at age 47 via her official Facebook page on Wednesday, June 8.

"Loretta is mourning the passing of her eldest grandson, Jeffrey Allen Lynn, who died unexpectedly on Monday, June 6. Jeffrey was 47 and lived and worked on Loretta's ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. Jeffrey was the eldest son of Jack Benny Lynn, Lynn's second child and eldest son who tragically drowned in 1984. Jeffrey is survived by three children, Jory, Katie and Cody," the singer's statement read.

"Loretta was scheduled to perform this Friday, June 10 in Miami, Okla. and Saturday, June 11 in Hinton, Okla., however those shows will be postponed to July 8 and November 12 so Loretta can be with her family," the statement concluded.
