Lori Loughlin’s Daughters Olivia and Bella Break Social Media Silence to Wish Mom a Happy Birthday Amid Legal Drama

The Giannulli kids couldn’t help but reappear on social media in honor of their mom Lori Loughlin‘s 55th birthday on July 28. Olivia Jade Giannulli and Bella Rose Giannulli took to social media for the first since early this year to honor their mother’s milestone celebration — amid the family’s ongoing alleged involvement in the college admissions cheating scandal.

“One day late. Happy birthday. I love you so much,” Olivia Jade, 19, wrote in the caption of a throwback photo of her and the Fuller House alum on Monday, July 29. The YouTuber’s older sister, Bella, 20, also gushed about Lori. “Happy birthday mama. I love you,” she captioned snap of the two.

On the actual day of her 55th birthday on Sunday, Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, kicked off the celebrations with a visit to church. “They were seen walking up to the front of the church to receive the Eucharist,” a source recently told Us Weekly. “They appeared to be regulars at that Mass as nobody bothered them and they kept to themselves.” The insider added that Olivia and Bella were not in attendance.

The duo’s Instagram tributes come as a surprise considering they haven’t been active on social media since news broke that their mom and dad were indicted and facing legal charges in an alleged nationwide college admissions cheating scandal in early March.

The couple of 21 years pleaded not guilty in April to charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud after allegedly paying bribes totaling $500,000. The plan was to reportedly have their daughters designated as recruits to the University of Southern California crew team, despite them never actually participating in the sport.

When news of the college admissions scandal first rocked the nation, fans were flabbergasted when it was revealed that Lori and actress Felicity Huffman were two of about 50 wealthy people named in the alleged scam. A source close to the former Full House actress dished that not only were her daughters surprised, but they were also heartbroken over the situation.

“Olivia and Bella are both devastated by what’s happened,” an insider told ET at the time. “It’s been mortifying and frightening for them. They love their parents dearly and realize they only wanted the best for them but they are starting to realize how very serious the charges [against] their parents are at their expense.”

Despite everything she is going through, happy belated birthday, Lori!
