Luke Perry’s Daughter Says She Is Missing ‘Him a Little Extra Today’ in Sweet Instagram Post
Some days are better than others. Luke Perry‘s daughter, Sophie Perry, took to Instagram this weekend to let the world know that she is still going through the grieving process weeks after her dad passed away.
“💛miss him a little extra today💛,” the 18-year-old wrote on Saturday, March 23, with a short and simple message that hits home. In the pic, we see Sophie holding a cute pup while the Riverdale star dons a pair sunglasses and smiles while sitting behind the wheel. Scroll down to see the sweet snap!
Luke died on March 4, just five days after suffering a massive stroke. In addition to Sophie, Luke leaves behind a 21-year-old son named Jack Perry. Luke — who was previously married to Sophie and Jack’s mom, Rachel “Minnie” Sharp — was planning a wedding for August 17 in Los Angeles with fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, per their “save the date” cards.
This isn’t the first time Sophie has taken to Instagram in the wake of her dad’s death. She initially paid tribute soon after he died and, in the following days, praised her mom for being a “rock” for the family.
“I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages,” her post reads, “but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I.” Sophie also said she didn’t know how to react but was just “being grateful quietly.”
Then, after apparently getting some not-so-supportive comments, Sophie defended herself from haters.
“Since my dad died I have received a lot of attention online,” Sophie wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. “And most of it has been positive but of course, some people just can’t be nice.”
We hope the healing process continues to get better for Sophie and the rest of Luke’s family.
