‘Shark Tank’ Star Mark Cuban Doing ‘Great’ After Undergoing Procedure for Afib

Talk about a big relief! Mark Cuban caused some concern when he missed his appearance on The View on Thursday, April 11, but the Dallas Maverick’s owner says all is well.

The 60-year-old told Page Six that he is doing “great” after undergoing a procedure for atrial fibrillation that shocked his heart back into rhythm. “It’s a common procedure for people with afib and fortunately so far so good!” the Shark Tank star said. Mark also explained his absence from the ABC news panel.

“I was just limited in what I could do because of the timing of the procedure,” the entrepreneur said. “If we would have filmed [Friday] it wouldn’t have been an issue.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, “Episodes of atrial fibrillation can come and go, or you may develop atrial fibrillation that doesn’t go away and may require treatment. Although atrial fibrillation itself usually isn’t life-threatening, it is a serious medical condition that sometimes requires emergency treatment.”

The billionaire has opened up about his condition before, as he once tweeted, “I have one. I have AF. It’s more a comforting factor.” He continued, “The quick ekg and the ability to send it to a Doc for a quick response let’s me have some indication of what’s going on when it’s NOT a typical AF event. I know what those feel like. It’s what I don’t that’s scary.”

We are very glad to hear that Mark is doing well again, especially since he has so much on his plate these days, including being a part of the investors panel on the business-related reality show — a program he’s been on since season two kicked off in 2011. Some of the other “sharks” he sits alongside are Barbarba Corcoran, Lori Greiner and Kevin O’Leary — the latter of who is known as “Mr. Wonderful.”
