Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Baby May Have a Completely Different Upbringing Than Their Royal Cousins

Yes, they may be family, but it certainly seems like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s first child will be raised quite different than their cousins.

For starters, not only will the baby, set to arrive sometime in April, not have a royal title like Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 11 months, he or she will also be seventh in the order to claim the throne, so no need to even worry about that. And while Prince William and Kate Middleton have used nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo to help out with their little ones, the Duke, 34, and Duchess of Sussex, 37, are apparently going to instead ask Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, for help.

“Doria’s going to be her child’s nanny,” a palace insider exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly. “The royals were insistent that she hire someone with international credentials and highly trained in security and self-defense [like Maria], but Meghan was having none of it.” “It’s Doria or no one,” the source added. And even though little George attends London’s Thomas’s Battersea, a private school, Harry and the former actress may want their kid to go to an American school.

According to The Sunday Times, the pair are considering sending their child to the ACS Egham International School in Egham, which offers an American curriculum — not very British! George also seems to like soccer, while his sister is all about ballet, but the Suits alum apparently wants to raise her baby in a different manner.

“Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby. Her exact word was fluid,” a source told Vanity Fair, adding that a Kensington Palace spokesman declined to comment. “She said they plan to raise their baby with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes.”

We should also mention the fact that Meghan has done things very differently since entering the royal family, with the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, being more of the traditional type when compared to her sister-in-law. So one must assume that Meghan will continue to shake-up how things are normally done — and having one luxurious baby shower is probably a very good start to all of that.
