Prince Harry Jokes He’s ‘Had About 2 Hours’ of Sleep Since Baby Sussex Was Born

Being a new parent isn’t easy — just ask Prince Harry! A few hours after he met his baby boy for the first time on Monday, May 6, he revealed that he hasn’t been getting much sleep because of the little one.

“I’ve had about two hours’ sleep,” he told a couple of reporters outside of Windsor Castle, according to ITV News. During the interview, the new dad also opened up about his wife, Meghan Markle‘s delivery. “Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning — a very healthy boy,” he gushed. “Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. This has been the most amazing experience I could possibly imagine.”

“How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we are both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everyone out there,” he added. “It’s been amazing. So we just wanted to share this with everybody.”

Harry, 36, and Meghan, 37, still have yet to release the first official photos of their baby. Unlike Kate Middleton, who debuted her children on the steps of St. Mary’s hospital shortly after their births, Meghan decided to stay indoors and spend some quality time with her son. Who can blame her, though? Her child must be so adorable!

“It’s really exciting for both of them,” Kate recently told a Daily Express reporter about Harry and Meg’s new baby. “These next few weeks, it’s always very daunting first time around so wish them all the best.”

In a new interview that Harry’s dad, Prince Charles, did in Berlin, he also gushed about his grandson and said he can’t wait to meet him with his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. “We couldn’t be more delighted at the news,” he admitted. “And we’re looking forward to meeting the baby when we return.”
