OMGMeghan Markle Will Guest Edit and Model for the September Issue of ‘British Vogue’

It looks like Meghan Markle will be opening up her and husband Prince Harry‘s home of Frogmore Cottage to the press as she will reportedly guest edit and model for the upcoming September Issue of British Vogue.

A source close to the royal family recently told Us Weekly the 37-year-old beauty will preside over what the publication considers it’s most important edition of the year. The royal insider added that the Duchess of Sussex — who last appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair in 2017 — will be putting her own stamp on the issue as she takes charge.

“Meghan will be writing an opinion piece of her own” and she will be “bringing a selection of female change-makers on board to write their own personal essays,” the source revealed. The former Suits actress’ writing will be appearing alongside “new photos that haven’t been taken yet,” according to the insider, explaining that the shoot will apparently take place at their humble abode in Windsor next week.

When news first broke that Meghan will be gracing the cover of British Vogue on Tuesday, June, 11, royal fans wondered if Harry, 34, and their first royal baby, Archie Harrison, would be in on the project. However, a source quickly dished to The Sun that the Duke of Sussex and their son will not be apart of the issue and that Meghan does not want to be on the cover.

The brunette beauty will be following in her royal sister-in-law’s footsteps as she takes on the new task — which was reportedly arranged directly by British Vogue editor Edward Enninful. In 2016, Kate Middleton was featured in the June issue of British Vogue as part of the collaboration between the magazine and the National Portrait Gallery. Unlike Meg’s supposed choice to not be on the magazine’s cover, Kate — who has been a patron of the National Portrait Gallery since 2012 — was featured on it and looked as beautiful as ever.

At the time, a spokesperson for Prince William‘s wife opened up about her experience with British Vogue. “The duchess was delighted to play a part in celebrating the centenary of an institution that has given a platform to some of the most renowned photographers in this country’s history,” they said. “The Duchess had never taken part in a photography shoot like this before. She hopes that people appreciate the portraits with the sense of relaxed fun with which they were taken.”
