Meghan Markle Is Reportedly Planning a Second Baby Shower Weeks After Luxurious NYC Bash

One isn’t enough! Meghan Markle seems to be planning yet another baby shower, less than a month after having a New York City bash that cost quite a pretty penny.

According to Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex, 37, is planning a small baby shower, that is when compared to her luxurious one in America. Her mother, Doria Ragland, is expected to be at this new one, which could be held at Buckingham Palace. Victoria Beckham, a friend of the former actress, may also be there to celebrate.

“Doria is coming to a baby shower here. It will be a small gathering of five or six people,” a source tells the outlet.

The Suits alum apparently tried to hold this second bash at Frogmore Cottage where she and Prince Harry are expected to live, but because of delayed renovation work that won’t be the case anymore. Meghan cause some heads to turn back in February when around 20 of her friends headed to New York City to celebrate her pregnancy in a bash that cost $200,000 for just two days — And that included staying in the city’s The Mark Hotel, which charges a whopping $75,000 a night for their suite.

The bash, which was attended by people like Serena Williams and Amal Clooney, caused some feathers to ruffle. According to former royal butler Paul Burrell, Harry’s brother wasn’t a fan of it. “I think Prince William will be angered by all of Meghan’s lavish extravagance this week and the fact her baby shower looked so ‘celebrity’ rather than ‘royal,'” Burrell wrote on The Sun recently. He continued, “He has spent years working with the press to give them what they want but also gets what he wants in return — privacy. Meghan is doing exactly what he doesn’t — courting attention all for her and her baby.”

The 60-year-old also believes Kate Middleton wasn’t about it either. “Kate will be totally bewildered by why Meghan is doing all this, as there’s no excuse for over-indulgence or excess and that’s what it seems to me.” He added, “Although William mixes with A-list celebrities, he doesn’t take them home with him, they aren’t his friends. They are people he works with. The celebrity world in which Meghan was submerged seems to be where all her friends are, and that can only spell disaster.”

Well it remains to be seen how the rest of the royal family will feel about this second baby shower that may be on the way.
