Meghan Markle Will Apparently Decorate Baby Sussex’s Nursery in Whites and Grays

Very sleek! While the sex of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s baby isn’t known quite yet, one thing is for sure: the colors the pair appear to be going with for the nursery won’t be giving the gender away either.

Katie Nicholl, a royal correspondent, says the royal couple won’t be going the typical route of making everything pink or blue in the nursery, as it appears they will be going with more toned down shades instead. “According to sources who are helping with [their new home] renovations, the nursery itself is going to be very modern,” Katie tells Entertainment Tonight. “Don’t expect to see any baby pink or baby blue. Apparently, it’s going to be a monochrome palette — whites and grays, I’m told, will be the color theme for baby Sussex’s nursery.”

And Katie reveals that the pair aren’t just choosing these colors to be random, as there’s a reason behind it. “They’ve decided not to find out the sex,” she said. Well, so much for there being a gender reveal party at Kensington Palace. The next royal baby is set to arrive this spring, but if you’re on the edge of your seat and can’t wait to find out if it’s a boy or a girl, midwife Amanda Bude offered up some help. She recently told the site Groovy Babies that there may be a way to learn what Meghan is having based off her baby bump.

According to the midwife, if a woman has gained weight around her abdomen and appears to be carrying the child “wide and low” then she’ll most likely have a girl. On the other hand, if she’s carrying the baby “high and pointy” then it’ll more than likely be a boy. Then again, this is simply an old wives’ tale, and even Amanda said that she doesn’t believe there is “any research that has ever been done to credit this.” So back to guessing, folks.
