Now that Meghan Markle is pregnant with Prince Harry‘s baby, royal fans have many questions, including if the Duchess of Sussex will now become a princess since she’s expecting. The answer? Not quite!

Although Meg’s official title is Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales, she’s never referred to as Princess Meghan because only those born into the royal family can allegedly use the Prince or Princess prefix.

But just because Meghan isn’t technically a princess doesn’t mean she doesn’t hold a special moniker within the royal family. In fact, the 37-year-old has another fancy royal title given to her by Queen Elizabeth on the day of her royal wedding — the Duchess of Sussex! On top of that, she also has her own coat of arms!

That said, just because Meg is expecting doesn’t mean her title will change when the baby is born come spring. Believe it or not, even though Harry is a prince, their children won’t have the prince or princess title unless Elizabeth decides they should (though it’s not likely considering how far down in the line of succession their kids will be).

Similar to the rest of Elizabeth’s great-grandchildren, Harry and Meghan’s future children will be known as “Lord” or “Lady” opposed to HRH. The Queen made an exception for Kate Middleton and Prince William’s kids, Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 3, because George is currently third in line to the throne.

Harry and Meghan previously announced they were expecting on Monday, Oct. 15 with a sweet announcement via Kensington Palace. “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” the message read. We can’t wait to meet their future son or daughter in just a few months!
