Poor Meghan Markle. Ever since the former American actress started dating Prince Harry, she’s been dealing with public scrutiny. And ever since she became the Duchess of Sussex in May, it’s gotten even worse. And now, she reportedly has one request for everyone: leave her alone!

“She’s been under attack for months, but lately, the stress and criticism has been off the charts,” an insider close to the 37-year-old told Heat. “She’s a lot softer than people think, and this barrage of negativity is a living nightmare.” Poor Meg…

The pregnant royal is unfortunately cognizant of all the negative talk about her. “She reads everything that is written about her. She’s very thin-skinned and wishes people would give her a break,” the source added. “This should be the happiest time of her life — her first Christmas married to Harry and carrying their first child — but this whole royal journey has turned into a nightmare.”

Can you blame Meg for wanting a drama-free Christmas? Between rumors of her royal staff quitting, her alleged feud with Kate Middleton, and her ongoing rift with her father, Thomas Markle, and half-sister, Samantha Markle, we imagine she’s exhausted.
