The Internet Had a Lot of Opinions About Meghan Markle’s Nearly $5,500 Wrap Dress

What did you think of Meghan Markle‘s latest look? The Duchess of Sussex donned an Oscar De La Renta wrap dress to Princess Diana’s niece’s wedding over the weekend, and while we think she looked stunning at her first nuptials as a wife, the internet had a lot of varying opinions on the look.

The frock, which was an ivory with a light blue pattern throughout, sells for over $5,000. She paired the look with a cream fascinator that perfectly matched her dress as well as white pumps and a white clutch. And while the look was pretty, some were insisting it didn’t fit her (many thought the same about her wedding dress on May 19).

“How does Meghan Markle manage to often look like a sack of potatoes?” one Twitter user wrote. “Her style is alright but the clothes are ill-fitting,” another added. “How is it that I used to like Meghan Markle’s style so much but since she became a member of the royal family (which means having more resources?) I don’t like anything she wears anymore!”

However, some were also fans of her outfit and took to the social media platform to defend the brunette beauty. “How gorgeous is Meghan Markle’s wedding guest style?!” one said. Another added, “I’m not the biggest fan, but I’m seeing criticism all over the place of Meghan Markle and her dress this past weekend. How about we all stop judging females for WHAT THEY WEAR and HOW THEY LOOK, and we start looking at them as more than physical objects.”

Meghan attended the event on Saturday, June 16, with Prince Harry, who matched her ensemble perfectly, by her side. We’re looking forward to the next time Meghan and Harry step out!
