It must be nice to be Meghan Markle‘s mom — right, Doria Ragland? Even though she had to send her car to the shop to be repaired, she got a taste of the royal treatment when a brand new vehicle (a loaner) was delivered to her home in Los Angeles.

When Doria woke up on Wednesday, May 22, she was greeted with a 2019 Honda HR-V that was just sitting outside her door. After she checked out her new ride, she hopped into the driver’s seat and took her new baby for a spin around the block.

Since Meghan gave birth to her first royal baby with Prince Harry, Doria has been elated to be a grandmother for the first time. She recently went to London to welcome Meghan’s child, a son named Archie. Now that the Duchess of Sussex is back at home with her son at Frogmore Cottage, Doria returned to the U.S. so she can get back to some normalcy.

With Doria being a royal grandmother, expect a lot more royal treatment in the future!

It’s no secret that Meghan wants mom to be baby Archie’s royal nanny. Honestly, we think she’d do a great job. “Doria’s going to be her child’s nanny,” a palace insider previously shared to Closer Weekly before Meghan’s son was born. “Doria will be entrusted with passing on very important skills to Harry and Meghan’s children.”

If Doria is going to be Archie’s nanny then she’ll have to learn a lot about taking care of royal babies. “There’s a huge scramble within Kensington Palace staff to train her up on royal etiquette and survival techniques because this role is not just about changing nappies and singing lullabies,” the source noted. Thanks to baby Archie, grandma Doria and Queen Elizabeth have developed a really special bond. “The Queen loves hearing Doria’s stories about her life in L.A.,” another insider revealed to Closer Weekly. “When she saw the yoga studio she jokingly asked Doria to give her a lesson!”

Even though Meghan and her mom don’t live in the same country anymore, they still like to keep each other updated on their lives. “Meghan is a mommy’s girl — their special mother-daughter bond hasn’t disappeared just because she’s moved to England,” a source recently told The Sun.

Don’t expect Meghan to forget about her roots in the U.S because she will always be a Cali girl! “Meghan will always come back to Doria, this will always be her home,” the source said. “They are forever in touch.” Isn’t she the best?
