What a day! Melanie Griffith rounded up her closest friends to help her celebrate her 62nd birthday at Craigs restaurant in West Hollywood on Friday, August 9.

The birthday girl arrived to dinner wearing a long-sleeve black top and a gorgeous blue-printed pants that matched the little shopping bag that she carried into the restaurant. She completed her look with a pair of black pumps and, when she arrived to the establishment, she couldn’t help but smile as she passed the photographers standing outside the door.

Sadly, Melanie’s three adult kids — Alexander Bauer, 33, Dakota Johnson, 29, and Stella Banderas, 22 — were nowhere in sight. However, since they have such an amazing bond with their mother, they probably did something low-key to celebrate her special day.

Now that Melanie’s kids are all grown up, she’s been thinking about making a big career comeback. “I have the time to reboot and revitalize my career,” the Working Girl star revealed. “I’m really just now ready to do it again.”

However, Melanie won’t forget all the great times that she’s had raising her kids. “[It] was more exciting than playing a part in a story,” she admitted. “You have to live your life and not just play somebody else all the time. And how can you play somebody else if you don’t live your own life?”

Even though Melanie has a lot of love for her family, she doesn’t think it’s “relevant” for her to get married again after she already went through four divorces with three different men. “I really don’t think it’s relevant for anyone anymore,” she explained. “But especially if you’re 60 and you have four kids and you’re living the life you’ve always wanted. Then why get married?”

But that doesn’t mean Melanie has stopped looking for love in her life. “It’s, like, I would love to fall in love and have a romance, a relationship, but I haven’t,” she said. “I keep looking. I’ve had a couple of lovers but not a relationship.”

Who knows? In the future, Melanie might just find the man of her dreams. But right now, we’re just happy that she has a great relationship with her ex-husbands — Antonio Banderas, Don Johnson and Steven Bauer.

“All of my husbands, my three husbands — I love them all so much, and we’re all very close,” she gushed. So sweet!
