You go, girl! Melissa McCarthy stepped out in LA for a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, Nov. 7 and the 48-year-old actress looks thinner (and happier!) than ever in the new pics. Clad in a chic pair of black track pants and a coordinating turtleneck sweater, Melissa perfectly flaunted her fit figure as she walked into Jimmy Kimmel’s Hollywood studios yesterday.

Over the past few years, Melissa has reportedly shed around 70 pounds and loves showing off her new bod. Though the Bridesmaids star has been super successful with her weight loss, “she’s not obsessed with losing more,” a source close to Melissa recently told Closer Weekly. The insider added, “She’s happy in her own skin right now.”

Though Melissa is proud of her new figure, she’s hopeful that our society can stop putting so much emphasis on weight and the look of women’s bodies in the future.

“The thing is, if that is the most interesting thing about me, I need to go have a lavender farm in Minnesota and give this up,” she once joked.

“There has to be something more. There are so many more intriguing things about women than their butt or their this or their that. It can’t be the first question every time, or a question at all,” Melissa has said.

“It’s like, ‘Can you imagine them asking some of these guys I work with, ‘How do you keep your butt looking so good?’ It would be like, ‘What the f–k are you talking about?” she continued.
