New ‘Tracker’ Photos Hint at Possible Clues to Colter Shaw’s Dad’s Murder in Season 2, Episode 19
Are Tracker fans about to get their fill of family secrets exposed in the show’s upcoming season 2, episode 19? It sure seems that way, based on photos and a clip released ahead of the Sunday, May 4, broadcast titled “Rules of the Game.”
“When Reenie’s client, Leo Sharf (recurring guest star Pej Vahdat), hires Colter to track down his missing assistant before his company launch, the case takes a personal turn and Reenie becomes entangled in a deadly vendetta threatening both of their lives,” the synopsis of the episode says.
But perhaps what’s more interesting is that Melissa Roxburgh will be returning as Colter Shaw’s sister, Dory Shaw, and executive producer Elwood Reid said that she’s bringing “a mysterious piece of the Shaw family’s past” along with her. Fans of the hit CBS show, of course, know exactly what he’s referencing – the oh-so-secretive box of Ashton Shaw’s stuff.
In photos from the episode, Dory is seen sitting in Colter’s Airstream with a huge box of stuff next to her. Viewers previously found out that the box contains items, including papers and journals, that belonged to their father, who died when they were kids.
“This is that box that Colter was talking to Russell about,” one person commented on a post on Tracker’s official Instagram account teasing photos from the episode ahead.
The box was kept a secret from Colter for a while before his pal Lizzy Hawking revealed that Colter’s father was having an affair with her mother and dropped the box off before his death. After all this build up, we have to expect it to contain some major documents or clues about what exactly Ashton was up to before his death.

Reddit has been full of interesting fan theories about how the box could implicate a member of the Shaw family in Ashton’s murder.
“I think the mother worked with the men that killed his father. His dad had government secrets of his own and was being hunted and he was getting in the way of his mother’s plan so she brought him and their family out to the cabin to lure him out and kill him,” one person wrote on Reddit. “She told Russell to run so he didn’t get close enough to exposing her secret. The dad had an affair with Izzy’s [sic] mother and Colter was born because of that union. Dolly [sic] took the box because she was aware of this and didn’t want this truth getting out so she was doing it to protect Colter.”
The photos from the episode show Colter and Dory seemingly talking about the box and the contents it holds, however, we might not get all of the answers we hope for as a bigger mystery will plague the characters in the episode.
In a clip from the episode released by TV Insider on Friday, May 2, Colter searches for signs after Leo’s assistant goes missing.
“She runs away. She takes a fire escape down. She leaves her phone. Her purse. Any idea why?” he says in the clip. “I have to ask, your relationship, anything more than professional?”
Leo denies that their relationship every crossed that line.
“I spent a lot of time with them over the past couple of days,” Reenie chimes in. “If she had a problem with Leo, I think I would’ve known about it.”
