Nick Cannon on Ex-Wife Mariah Carey: “She’s an Amazing, Outstanding, Top-of-the-Line Mother”

The truth is out! In a new interview, Nick Cannon opened up about his former wife, Mariah Carey, and revealed why he still thinks she is amazing. “People don’t know she is such a nourishing and giving individual,” the star of MTV’s Wild ’N Out, 37, recently told In Touch of Mariah, 48, with whom he shares twins Moroccan and Monroe, 6. (Nick also has a son, Golden “Sagon” Cannon, 11 months, with his beauty queen ex Brittany Bell, 30.)

“I have never seen someone so giving. [Mariah] remembers everyone’s birthday, favorite color — she’s like one of those types of people, always sending cakes, flowers, and balloons.” When asked if he would ever consider getting back together with Mariah, he simply replied, “in my dreams, maybe!”

“She’s an amazing, outstanding, top-of-the-line mother,” Nick added. “It’s like Mary Poppins is your mom.” And how does he feel about Mariah and her current boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka? “Oh, I always make funny jabs at them! It’s hilarious to me [that they’re together]. They’re enjoying each other, having fun. I’m super cool with him, but I still think it’s funny!” And while Nick said he “one hundred percent” wants more kids, he also confessed he will never marry again. “To me, marriage is a business that society controls, paperwork, which can get in the way. Love shouldn’t be bound.”
