It's hard to believe that the first season of Saturday Night Live aired nearly 40-years ago!

Back then, stars like Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd were taking the stage every week and making viewers laugh harder than ever before. Click through the gallery to see what the very first cast of the show is up to now.

Chevy Chase

The 73-year-old is married to Jayni Luke and they have three daughters together – Cydney Cathalene, Emily Evelyn and Caley Leigh.

He was a regular on the NBC show Community for five years until the show ended several months ago.

George Coe

The former SNL funnyman passed away in July 2015 at age 86. He left behind his wife (from his third marriage) Susan Coe, two twin daughters from his previous marriage and four grandchildren.

For five years (ending in 2014), George was the voice of Woodhouse and The Pope in FX's series Archer.

Dan Aykroyd

The 64-year-old is married to actress Donna Dixon and they have three daughters together — Danielle, Belle Kingston and Stella Irene August.

In 2013, the actor revealed he was diagnosed with Aspergers in the 80s but he's been able to "manage it."

Most recently, he was brought on to create a script for the newest Ghostbusters movie, which he also appeared in.

Garrett Morris

The 79-year-old was married to Freda Morris for three years before they officially divorced in 2008. The actor has kept busy these past few years with a regular role on the CBS show 2 Broke Girls.

Jane Curtin

The 69-year-old comedienne is married to Patrick Lynch, and they have one daughter, Tess, together.

The actress has recently starred on The Good Wife.

John Belushi

The actor passed away in 1982 at age 33 from a cocaine and heroine drug overdose. He left behind his wife, Judith.

Laraine Newman

The 64-year-old is married to actor Chad Einbinder and they have two daughters together — Lena and Hannah.

The actress has done quite a bit of voiceover work these past few years for shows like Disney Junior's Doc McStuffins and Netflix's The Adventures of Puss in Boots.

Michael O'Donoghue

The actor passed away in 1994 at age 54 after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. He was married to Cheryl Hardwick.

The comedienne passed away in 1989 at age 42 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was married to the late Gene Wilder.
