Oscars Host Chris Rock Slams Jada Pinkett Smith During Opening Monologue - Closer Weekly

Chris Rock didn’t hold back when he took the stage at the beginning of the 88th **Oscars on Sunday night.

The host for the evening spent most of his monologue addressing this year’s lack of black nominees, throwing shade at those who spoke out about boycotting the annual awards — particularly actress Jada Pinkett Smith.

“Everybody went mad, you know? Jada got mad. Jada said she’s not coming,” the 51-year-old said. “Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited! Though that’s not an invitation I would turn down.”
