Congrats!Patricia Arquette Wins Best Supporting Actress Oscar for ‘Boyhood’

Congratulations, Patricia Arquette!

The 46-year-old actress won the Best Supporting Actress award at tonight’s Oscars and gave a touching acceptance speech in which she advocated for wage equality for women.

“Thank you to the Academy and to my beautiful, powerful [fellow] nominees,” Patricia began her speech onstage.

“To every woman who gave birth to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody else’s equal rights. It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all and equal rights for women in the United States of America,” the mom-of-two continued.

This was Patricia’s first Academy Award win and nomination. She was honored for her role in the 2015 Best Picture nominated film ‘Boyhood,’ in which she portrays a struggling single mother raising two children.
