Percy Gibson ‘Totally Devoted’ to Joan Collins: ‘They Never Get Bored With Each Other’s Company’

Joan Collins and Percy Gibson are living the good life traveling all around the world and after 22 years of marriage, they’re more in love than ever, a source exclusively tells Closer.

“They have an exciting life of traveling, yachting, fine dining, dancing, shopping, which is one of the reasons why they never get bored with each other’s company,” the insider says, “that’s what is so remarkable about it.”

Joan, 91, finally found Mr. Right on her fifth try with Percy, 60. The Dynasty star met her producer husband while working on the play Love Letters in 2000. She had four marriages before – first to Northern Irish actor Percy Reed in 1952, who she said had drugged and raped her before they were wed, before divorcing him in 1965. She then wed singer-songwriter Anthony Newley, with whom she shares two children Tara and Alexander, but ended up divorcing him in 1971. Her third husband, Ron Kass, whom she married the following year wasn’t in showbusiness at all. They had one daughter, Katyana, before divorcing in 1983. Fourth husband Peter Holm came and went within the span of a year, from 1986 to 1987.

After meeting Percy, who is 31 years her junior, the two married in 2002 and have enjoyed a jet-setting lifestyle since. “Percy is the most honorable man I’ve ever met,” she said of her husband just after they wed.

Now, with the children all grown up and only four grandchildren to see occasionally, “They divide their time between London and St. Tropez and other exotic locales in between and love discovering new places and restaurants,” the source says, adding, “Their love life is pretty good too by all accounts. They literally can’t keep their hands off each other.”

“Joan’s friends say her previous marriages were nothing compared to this one, the one that stuck,” the source says.

“I kissed a lot of frogs before I found my prince,” Joan penned in her 2011 memoir, The World According to Joan. “For those women who are looking for a life partner, that old saying that men are like buses and ‘if you wait long enough the right one will come along’ is true for a reason.”

The British actress had even said she would never plan to marry again after her first four marriages ended in flames, that was until Percy came along. “When Percy and I met 18 years ago, I was in a long-term relationship that was dragging along,” she wrote in an essay published in 2018 in DailyMail. “I had declared that I never wanted to marry again, and I kept to that promise until I met Percy … We hit it off immediately. He was funny, engaging, good-looking, and after the show I would socialize with him, my costar George Hamilton and my daughter Katy.”

The insider continues, saying of their lasting bond, “The secret is Percy makes her happy.”

“He’s totally devoted to Joan, which makes her spoil him with love and riches even more.”
