Peta Murgatroyd and ‘Soulmate’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy Celebrate 2-Year Wedding Anniversary: ‘You Are the Love of my Life’
It’s been that long already?! Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram on Monday, July 8, to celebrate a huge milestone — their 2nd wedding anniversary.
“To the man whom I felt that gut-wrenching, hard to describe, electric, painful, soulmate style of love for … @maksimc you will always be my ‘one,'” Peta, 32, shared via Instagram in a sweet post she dedicated to her hubby. “The one that I couldn’t be apart from, the one whom I loved from the beginning (and I didn’t know why), I couldn’t even explain it logically to my head or anyone lol … the one who has always been my protector, the one who knows me better than anyone.”
“@maksimc you are the love of my life, and I cherish every year we have on this earth together. Happy 2nd Anniversary! 🌸,” Peta continued. Maksim also took to Instagram to remember the day when they exchanged their vows in a beautiful wedding ceremony.
“Today will always be one of the best days of my life!,” he wrote. “I couldn’t wait to marry you. I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life being your partner, your friend and your family. I’m in love with you more today than ever before. I’m obsessed with us. You have my hand, my heart and my soul for as long as I live. Happy anniversary my love ❤️ #OctoberForever.”
The two Dancing With the Stars pros got married in July 2017, and they share their 2-year-old son, Shai, together. In the near future, they plan on expanding their family by giving their baby boy a younger sibling.
“We kind of have to plan things around work, but I don’t want to wait too long,” Peta revealed to Life & Style in May. “Maybe three to six months. Maks needs a little girl.” Since Peta and Maks already have a son, they would love to welcome a baby girl next.
“It’s funny — we can’t imagine having another boy because we can’t imagine how we could love another boy like we love Shai,” the Faith, Hope & Love actress gushed in a separate interview with Life & Style.
“He’s the cutest little munchkin. I fall more in love with him every day,” Peta told the mag in March. “People say he’s the perfect mix of me and Maks. He’s feisty like his dad, and then he’ll be watching a cartoon and one of the characters will cry and he’ll start to cry, and I’m like, ‘That’s so me.’” So cute!
