Pregnant Pippa Middleton Is Keeping Her Baby’s Gender a Secret — Just Like Sister Kate Did!

Sorry, royal fans, it seems you’ll just have to wait until pregnant Pippa Middleton welcomes her first child with husband James Matthews to find out the baby’s gender! On Thursday, Aug. 16, James’ brother Spencer Matthews revealed that the couple isn’t finding out of they’re expecting a boy or a girl.

During Spencer’s appearance on the U.K. talk show This Morning, host Ruth Langsford asked the reality star, “And your brother is about to become a dad as well a little bit after you with Pippa Middleton. So, do they know if they’re having a boy or a girl?” To which Spencer replied, “They don’t. They’re extremely private and honestly, we know nothing.”

Pippa, 34, isn’t the first Middleton mom-to-be to forgo learning her baby’s sex until birth. In fact, Pippa’s older sister, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, chose to be surprised by her childrens’ genders during all three of her pregnancies.

Since Pippa is expected to give birth sometime between October and December of this year, her little one will be close in age to Kate’s youngest child, Prince Louis, who was born at the end of April.

Now that Kate is a mom-of-three herself, she’s been giving her younger sister, Pippa, lots of expert motherhood advice. “They confide in each other about everything,” a source recently told Life & Style. “When they were younger they’d always share stories about boys and school life. Now they’re sharing pregnancy stories!”
