Pippa Middleton Will Give Birth At The Lindo Wing Just Like Her Older Sister Kate Middleton

Just like her older sister, Kate Middleton, pregnant Pippa Middleton is preparing to give birth to her first child in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in West London. The hospital was probably highly recommended by Kate, 36, since the Duchess of Cambridge welcomed all three of her kids — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — in the Lindo Wing with her husband, Prince William.

St. Mary’s Hospital is a very popular choice for royals since they receive excellent, VIP care there. In fact, Kate’s late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, also gave birth to her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, in the same hospital wing back in the 1980s.

The medical care facility opened in 1937 and, according to People, it costs about $8,135 for consultant-led care. Kate, however, probably paid more money to be housed in one of the hospital’s 10 lavish birthing suites, so it’s likely that Pippa, 35, could upgrade to the same type of room.

“The Lindo Wing offers private ensuite rooms, providing a modern, homely environment in which to start your new or expanded family life,” St. Mary’s official website explains. “Our consultants, midwives, and support staff have the expertise and experience to support you through any pregnancy and delivery — from straightforward births to complex and multiple deliveries.”

Princess Diana was actually the first royal to ever give birth in the Lindo Wing. She welcomed son Prince William with the help of late gynecologist George Pinker, who broke the tradition of royal babies being born in palaces.

So when Kate previously gave birth to Prince Louis this past April, it was only natural that she would pay homage to Princess Diana with the dress she emerged from the hospital wearing. Since Diana wore a red jacket with a white collar back in 1982 when she and Prince Charles debuted Prince William to the world, Kate similarly chose to wear a custom red dress with a white lace collar.
