Prince George’s New School Sounds More Intense (and More Expensive) Than College

Where did the time go? It's like we blinked and now Prince George is heading to a new school in the fall. The four-year-old is set to become a student at London's Thomas’s Battersea in September — and we're counting down the days to see a cute photo of him on his first day!

According to The Good Schools Guide, the school — which is costing them a whopping $23,000 per year — is "a big, busy, slightly chaotic school for cosmopolitan parents who want their children to have the best English education money can buy. That is what they want and, to a large degree, that is what they get." Fancy!

The school has nearly 600 pupils with ages ranging from 4 to 13. As the review site for UK schools says, the school is very international, with "19 different foreign languages spoken at home." While there, George will spend 20 percent of his time doing sports. There's also a big focus on music with a music center, choir, and orchestra, as well as "two great art studios and two pottery rooms with their own kiln."

Even though there's a "fleet of buses" that could take the boy to school, a source recently shared that his parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, plan to take their son themselves. "They are very hands-on parents and although they acknowledge that it might cause a bit of a buzz to start with, they are hopeful it will soon settle down," a source told the Daily Mail. "It's very important to both of them that George enjoys as normal a childhood as possible, particularly as he settles into a new school, and for them, this includes dropping him off at the school gates."

What many fans are curious to know is which last name the royal will go by. I mean, can you imagine teachers calling him Prince George all day? Turns out, he will likely either be called George Mountbatten-Windsor or George Cambridge.
