See the Moment Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Arrive in Africa With Baby Archie

Duke of Sussex Prince Harry must be the proudest dad! Not only did he get to bring wife Duchess Meghan with him on an official visit to Africa but he also got to introduce his baby son, Archie, to the place he loves so much.

The trio arrived in Cape Town, South Africa on Monday, September 23, to begin their 10-day royal tour with Archie in tow. For the occasion, we can see that he is wearing a little wool cap. After they put the little guy down for a nap under the care of a nanny,  Harry and Meghan went to explore some beautiful aspects of the country.

However, you can bet that once Archie is rested, they’ll take him on all sorts of adventures with them. “Meghan and Harry don’t like to keep Archie stuck indoors for long periods of time,” a source recently revealed to Closer Weekly. When the duke and duchess are home, they like to take their almost 5-month-old son outside.

“Every day they take him for walks in the grounds of Frogmore and about once a month they go for a family outing to a local pub for lunch, just the three of them. Harry’s very down to earth and prefers the pub scene to going to a fancy restaurant.”

In Africa, things will be a little bit different for the royal family. Even though Harry’s wife and son are by his side now, they won’t be going to every stop of the royal tour with him. The dad of one is actually going to leave Meghan and Archie in Cape Town when he travels to Botswana, Angola and Malawi.

“At the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Their Royal Highnesses will together visit South Africa,” noted a statement recently released by the royal family. “The Duke of Sussex will also visit Angola and Malawi at the request of the FCO and will undertake a short working visit to Botswana while in the region.”

Now that his family is with him in Africa, Harry must be having a blast! “Our team has helped create a meaningful program that we’re so excited to share with you,” he wrote via Instagram on Sunday, September 1. “On a personal note, I can’t wait to introduce my wife and son to South Africa! We’ll see all of you very soon.”
