Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Might Have To Spend Christmas Morning Apart Due To Odd Royal Tradition

Christmas is about spending time together…in separate rooms?

While everyone is gearing up to spend the holidays with their loved ones, it seems that a strange royal tradition may keep Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from doing just that on Christmas morning. According to Darren McGrady, a former royal chef, it’s apparently fairly typical for royal women to stay in their bedrooms and have breakfast delivered to them, all while royal men kickback downstairs and eat their own meal.

“On Christmas Day, the ladies generally opt for a light breakfast of sliced fruit, half a grapefruit, toast and coffee delivered to their rooms,” Darren mentioned in the The Daily Mail. Darren also adds that the royal men usually opt for a breakfast including “eggs, bacon, and mushrooms, with kippers and grilled kidneys. That’s right, being royal means you get the pleasure of eating some kidneys. Quite the treat. And that half a grapefruit is how you start Christmas morning off with a bang.

Darren revealed that after breakfast the royals head to church at St. Mary Magdalene, and upon returning everyone goes straight towards their pre-lunch drinks. And that is something that we all can relate to. Now Meghan has been all about not following tradition, so one has to wonder if she will be all for spending the Christmas morning away from her husband. And even if Meghan does go through with this tradition, at least she won’t have to take a trip to Madame Tussauds in Berlin to see the horrifying wax masks of her and Harry. That would just certainly turn into a Christmas nightmare.
