New dad Prince Harry is celebrating his first Father’s Day, and he is obviously quite excited, as he and his wife, Meghan Markle, shared a brand new photo of their child, baby Archie.
The royal couple took to their official Instagram on Sunday, June 16, to post a new picture of their baby boy. “Happy Father’s Day! And wishing a very special first Father’s Day to The Duke of Sussex,” the caption read, alongside little Archie in his dad’s arms, holding on to his finger. Fans were of course all about this cute pic, as they quickly rushed to the comments section to respond. “Oh such a cutie. Thanks for sharing. I wish you happiness joy and love for you two, especially to Archie,” one person said. Another added, “He definitely looks like Harry … with a twist of mamma Meghan.”
The happy couple shared a photo of the newest royal this past Mother’s Day too — Archie’s feet rested on his mom’s hands in the pic. “Today is Mother’s Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several countries across Europe,” the caption read. “This is the first Mother’s Day for The Duchess of Sussex.”
The 5-week-old was born on May 6, to the delight of everyone, especially his beaming parents. “Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning — a very healthy boy,” the 34-year-old gushed to reporters outside of Windsor Castle just a bit of time after welcoming his son. “Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. This has been the most amazing experience I could possibly imagine.”
He added, “How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we are both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everyone out there. It’s been amazing. So we just wanted to share this with everybody.”
